About Us
Business History
Initially the business developed from a mobile therapy service, a home based salon then progressed with a one room treatment salon over a hair dressers in Hadleigh Suffolk.
During the following years I was approached by a Cambridge Private Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Hospital to set up a clinic supporting the work of A Erian a top UK Cosmetic Surgeon. The experience and exposure I gained from the cosmetic environment initiated my interest in the anti-ageing field. By the late nineties I had established `French Complexion' at 5 Maiden Way Hadleigh. The Salon consisted on two treatment rooms together with a reception and sun bed room. I progressed in the anti-ageing field listening to seminars and attending workshops for advanced anti-ageing treatments and therapies. My business along with one full time and one part time therapist developed extensively over the next few years with a wide range of clients (local and international) often invited to talk on local radio the decision was made to move to larger premises at the end of last year. `French Complexion Beauty & Spa Therapies' opened its doors officially on 1" October 2007 in a beautiful Georgian building. Located just off the High Street in Hadleigh the building work on the premises took 3 months to complete with the expansion of the business we now have three full time and two part time therapists.

Development French Complexion. Beauty & Spa Therapies
For over the past twenty years we have been honored by the support of our clients, many with over 15 years loyalty. Our commitment to our clients is paramount, without their support over the years we would not have been in the position to purchase the new premises. We conducted a questionnaire for all our clients, valuing their opinion on new treatments or therapies they would like to see offered. On the back of each questionnaire we introduced a `personal' comment about the Salon, this was then separated from the form so the client felt free to make a comment whether complimentary or derogatory. The clients completed questionnaire was then put into a draw, and the first three pulled out each received a special treatment at the Salon. The expansion of the business brings much needed longer flexible opening hours, with clients leading such busy lives a business must learn to adapt around many clients lifestyles. The surrounding and decor of the new premises also helps to make the male clients feel more comfortable as to avoid the female ‘environment’ tag. The new price lists included also a price list for the male clients, research showing that to encourage the male market we need to give them a separate identity. We also feel we are now more informative over our treatments, as many clients have commented on how confusing many of the treatments can be. Because of the feedback we now offer a thirty minute consultation with myself to guide the client to the best possible treatment for their particular needs. The continued expansion of the business relies on good PR which spreads by strong word of mouth and starts very much from the ground upwards. No business can afford to stand still, we have thought on the larger scale and all the therapists have been involved with the planning of the new Salon, organising an effective promotional campaign was discussed fully with myself, the salon manager and senior therapist. With our much larger premises we have now introduced other therapies these include, an Oriental Therapist, a Hypnotherapist further longer hours for our chiropody clinic and the introduction early next year of a radio wave machine for advanced treatment for cellulite, body and face lifting, this is in conjunction with our resident GP to further the cosmetic service now on offer. |

Achievements of French Complexion Beauty & Spa Therapies
As a dedicated beauty therapist with over twenty years in the industry I have seen many changes, mostly with the women of today who expect much more from their beauty therapist from when I first qualified With all the celebrity magazines and television programmes like Ten Years Younger the clients are much more informed about what treatment they want. The industry changes now at a phenomenal rate, and because of the change of the informative client base we all now have, the therapist must take refresher courses as well as further extensive training. My experience and exposure over the years gained in a number of operating environments has led me to understand the business and encourage other therapists within my organisation to achieve a confident and professional approach at all times.
We have taken a vision with over twenty years experience and put into practise what clients would love to see. Mainly a beautiful Salon with friendly caring staff somewhere where they feel relaxed and comfortable.
The extensive range of treatments now on offer at French Complexion emphasize the commitment the business has to offer, all the latest technology together with a highly professional and friendly services which you would expect from a Salon with French Complexion’s credibility.
